Applications for the 2024 FJC Leadership Board open November 1, 2024 and will close on November 30, 2024. The Children’s team will reach out to schedule your 15-minute interview after completing the below application and interviews be held in Early December.
Thank you for your interest in serving on the FJC Leadership Board! The Friends Junior Committee (FJC) Board provides leadership opportunities for young professionals that want to gain volunteer experience and make a significant impact for the patients and families at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
Before you complete the application, please review the information below:
In order to empower and develop new leaders and to encourage new ideas on a regular basis, terms for all positions are 1 year. If you are interested in staying on the board, please re-apply for the position. In addition to the general responsibilities listed for each position, board members are expected to adhere to the following:
- Attend all 4 quarterly board meetings
- Attend all member and social events (this includes purchasing a ticket, if it is a ticketed event)
- Respond to all emails, phone calls, and texts in a timely manner (24 hours, generally)
- Generate $500 in monetary or in-kind donations for events
- Represent Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta with the utmost integrity at all times
Our 2023 FJC President and Vice President will be serving another term. Please consider applying to join our board through the positions available below:
- The Hospital Volunteer chair is responsible for securing a date each quarter for FJC members to volunteer at Arthur M. Blank Hospital or Scottish Rite. They are responsible for planning and providing the craft or activity each quarter, as well as sending out the Sign Up Email to membership to confirm volunteers for upcoming in-hospital events. They are also responsible for providing members with volunteer opportunities outside of the hospital.
The Social and Marketing Chair works to drive awareness of FJC, and Children’s through various channels. The Social and Marketing Chair will manage promoting FJC events through media outreach and e-marketing. Responsibilities include promoting FJC events and manage e-communications such as FJC's Instagram and LinkedIn account. This individual will also help create graphics in Canva to promote events via email and social media.
- Membership oversees the recruitment of new members as well as the retention of current members. Responsibilities include promoting FJC to the community, setting and achieving goals each quarter for new members and member renewals, grow presence on different channels (LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.), help responding to inquiries for those interested in FJC, being aware and spreading awareness about FJC membership benefits and all current FJC activities and events.
