Frequently Asked Questions

What is Miles for Miracles?

Miles for Miracles is a virtual challenge in September to celebrate 28 years of the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center and our 28-year partnership with Aflac Inc. We encourage our communities to complete one mile a day for 28 days as we raise crucial funds and honor the brave patients and families of the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center.

Can anyone participate?

Yes! Everyone is welcome to join the Miles for Miracles challenge. We encourage you to invite your family and friends to complete the challenge alongside you.

I am with Aflac. How do I make sure my participation is counted towards my group or market?

When registering, please select "Join a Team" to search for your Aflac market or employee department. If you do not see your market or department listed, please feel free to make your own team and then share the team name with your respective dept/market, so people know what to search for!

I am not with Aflac. Can I make a group?

Absolutely! Anyone can sign up as an individual, or even make their own team. You're welcome to create a team for your company, neighborhood, or family! Just make sure to create a recognizable team name and then share with friends and family, so they know what to search for when they sign up.

How do I track my miles?

This year, your miles will be tracked for you! Before the challenge, you will receive access to activate your activity page on the Good Move app.

Through your fitness monitor (Apple Watch, Fitbit, Strava, health app, etc.) your miles will be counted for you in real time on your personal fundraising page.

For more, see Good Move's FAQ

Not a walker or runner?

Feel free to use any sort of activity that encourages you to get up and move, to count as your mile each day! You can walk, jog, skip, run, bike, swim, even take a lap around your neighborhood with your dog or a friend! All activity options available are listed on Good Move.

What does my money support?

By participating in the Miles for Miracles challenge, your donation will go directly to support pediatric research at the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center. By becoming a Miracle Maker, you can go the extra mile by supporting our patients above and beyond. Did you know that a $280 donation could fund diagnostic testing for a newly diagnosed patient?
