You can help the Language and Learning Clinic receive a new play structure!
Marcus Autism Center is seeking donations for an indoor play space to add to the Language and Learning Clinic to help children work on their gross motor skills. Gross motor skills are important for children to perform everyday functions, like running, jumping, or even putting on their shoes. Incorporating play into teaching helps these children polish their skills in a natural environment.
Providing kids with an opportunity to play in an active environment is crucial for their social, cognitive, and motor development. With this equipment, kids will engage in play that moves their bodies and uses their imagination to promote growth and development. Active engagement, or the ability for children to interact, communicate, and participate with others, is the single best predictor of successful learning for children with and without disabilities.
