The Dusty Kaylor Popko Memorial Art Drive

On August 16, 2019 my best friend and art eduator, Dusty Kaylor Popko, lost her battle wtih breast cancer at age 43. She fought like a warrior through multiple surgeries, rounds of chemo, and radiation. She wore a smile through it all and never stopped believing she was going to a better place.
Even throughout her exhausting battle she still brought art to children through our face painting booths, her church, and helping me in my own art classes. To honor her, I know she would like to continue bringing art to children, especially those going through cancer.
Art has the power to make us remember great times and focus on the beautiful in the midst of the tragic and difficult. My desire is to provide as many sick children with art supplies to help them escape the darkness of illness, even if for a short time.
Please join with me by providing art supplies or making a donation to this cause. All of these donations go directly to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.
