1998 Society Physician Awards

The 1998 Society, doctors leading by giving, takes nominations annually for thier physician awards - The 1998 Society Award, The Pediatric Pioneer Award, The Rising Star Award and the Community Physician Leadership Award. Submit a nomination to recognize your colleagues who strengthen the future of pediatric medicine each and every day. Award recipients will be honored at next year's The Big Deal - the 1998 Society's physician gala.


The award categories are as follows: 

The 1998 Society Award:  a seasoned community or hospital-based physician who is known for their passionate dedication to pediatrics, leadership amongst their peers, philanthropic spirit and ultimate impact on Children’s mission.

The Pediatric Pioneer Award:  a legendary practicing community or hospital-based physician honored for their lifetime of medical leadership, expertise, devotion to pediatric medicine and impact on Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

The Rising Star Award: an up and coming community or hospital-based physician in their first ten years of their career who is known for their passionate dedication to pediatrics, leadership amongst peers and ultimate impact on Children’s mission.

The Community Physician Leadership Award: A stand out community-based physician who is passionate in their practice of pediatrics, considered a leader in the field amongst their peers, and has embraced Children's as a partner in the pursuit of quality care for kids.

Lifetime Achievement Award -The 1998 Society Lifetime Achievement Award honors a distinguished physician for a lifetime of impact in their passionate dedication to pediatrics by demonstrating outstanding clinical expertise, training its future physicians, and supporting the advancement of groundbreaking research in their chosen field. The 1998 Society bestows this award only for a select few who through their leadership have unified physicians around a shared mission to change the face of children’s care. Nominations are not submitted for this award.
