Bring your kid’s bicycles, helmets (and yes your kids too), to the St. Paddy O’Pedal Kids BikeFest. This community event is free of charge and opens to children ages 5 and up accompanied by an adult. Led by certified coaches, your child has the opportunity to learn bike safety and handling skills in a fun and festive atmosphere. Our goal is to get your children outside and safely enjoying their bikes for a lifetime of fun and exercise.
Your children will be given a Bike Passport at check-in. At each station listed below, they will receive a stamp for completing the activity.
- Bike Inspection, Bike and Helmet Fit
- Stops and Starts, Safe Dismounts
- Rules of the Road, Hand Signals
- Obstacle Course to Practice Skills
- Bike Decorating
Children can also watch a skills exhibition by the nationally ranked Multisports Explosion Youth Team, guided by owner, head coach and Kid’s BikeFest leader Lisa Marshall. They can also experience a Touch A Truck (fire trucks, police vehicle, etc.), and have the option to participate in the Kid’s Bike Parade at 2 PM…perhaps showing off their new skills and decorated bikes!
We are not forgetting about the parents…you can enjoy music, and purchase craft brews and food from local vendors. Sound like fun? Register your child today for this free event!
All participants are requested to register in advance to make sure we have enough materials and volunteers for the event. While there is no registration fee for the Kids BikeFest, there is an option to make a 100% tax deductible of any amount to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Funds received through our St. Paddy O’Pedal Bike Ride, Kid’s BikeFest and sponsors, target research for pediatric cancer. Click here for more information on all of these events. P.S. If your child is a more advanced cyclist, at 12:00 PM we are having a Family Fun Ride for parents and kids who would like to ride together for 5.5 miles with an optional second loop. This particular ride is part of our St. Paddy O’ Pedal Ride to Conquer Childhood Cancer fundraiser benefiting Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, and is a separate registration with a fee. 2019 Kid’s BikeFest Registration

Registration is open to children 5 years and older. Your child must bring their bike and helmet, and be accompanied by an adult who remains on the premises with the child during the BikeFest.
