Although we won’t be able to be together this year for the 15th annual Teddy Bear Crusade, let’s continue to show our support to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. This year, Teddy Bear Crusade will benefit the family support team at the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center. Due to the nature of their treatment, patients in treatment at Aflac spend more time on the inpatient unit than many other patients at Children’s. The Aflac family support team helps fill this time with enriching services and surrounds the center’s patients with an extra layer of protection. For each donation made, a Medi-Teddy will be provided to the Aflac Cancer Center to brighten a patient’s hospital room.

“When I had my first infusion, I was surprised and a little bit intimidated by the look of the amount of tubing and medical equipment on my I.V. pole. As I saw more and more children experiencing the same feelings, I became more interested in creating a friendlier experience for young I.V. patients, so I created Medi-Teddy. I hope that Medi-Teddy helps you just as much as it helps me!” -Ella

For every $100 donated a Medi-Teddy will be donated to a patient at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
