Atlanta Charity Clays benefits Seacrest Studios

While patients at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta are living inside hospital walls, they're still curious about the outside world, and they want to stay connected to it. That's why the Ryan Seacrest Foundation built broadcast media centers, named Seacrest Studios, in pediatric hospitals for patients to explore the creative realms of Radio, Television and New Media, with the aim of contributing positively to the healing process for children and their families during their stay.

Seacrest Studios Atlanta provides a variety of programming to the patients in the hospital, whether they are physically in studio or watching through a closed-circuit network from their in-room TV screen. Access to multimedia experiences bring patients exciting and stimulating adventures to encourage optimistic thoughts during treatment.

With guests like superstar film and TV actors, Chris Pratt and Spiderman's Tom Holland or award-winning musicians like Katy Perry, Cardi B, Justin Bieber or Luke Bryan, patients are offered words of encouragement from their biggest idols 1:1 in this unique studio meet & greet.

Seacrest Studios at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta broadcasts Monday through Friday from 10am to 6pm in the lobby of Egleston Children's Hospital. Patients can come to the studio at those times to learn about radio, introduce songs over the air, interview celebrities, record greetings, and play games with other patients or interns at Seacrest Studios.

Any patient can be part of a broadcast (even during a pandemic!), by calling in to request a song, play trivia, ask a question of a special guest over Zoom, or give a shout-out to a favorite doctor, nurse or child life specialist.

Always equipped with the latest technology, we're even able to create programming opportunities for patients from the comfort of their bedside through tablets, robots and soon gaming carts.
